In this brief conversation, Coleman Ford and Shawn Wilhite sit down with Dr. Michael Kruger, President and Samuel C. Patterson Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity, of Reformed Theological Seminary. We were able to hear of his interests in Star Wars and his work in the Second Century, including his recent work, Christianity at the Crossroads.
In this brief conversation, Coleman Ford and Shawn Wilhite sit down with Dr. Megan DeVore (CACS Fellow) of Colorado Christian University. We were able to hear of her interest in early grey tea, collegiate teaching, and her research in early Christianity.
Dr. Pardee is administrator for the University of Chicago Center for Jewish Studies and served as Adjunct lecturer at schools in the Chicago area—Both at the University of Chicago and Saint Xavier University.
Dr. Pardee’s academic writing interests center around the study of the Didache. She has a published article in The Didache in Context: Essays on Its Text, History, and Transmission published by Brill (1995). She has other articles on the Didache in the Encyclopedia of the Bible and Its Reception, a forthcoming SBL Volume, and a few other articles in OT and NT. She is also the author of The Genre and Development of the Didache published by Mohr Siebeck in 2012. Over the past number of years, she has been involved in SBL and the Chicago Society of Biblical Research.
Jarvis Williams, New Testament Associate Professor at the Southern Baptist Theological seminary presents his paper titled, “The Origin of Bishop Ignatius’s Martyr Complex? The Nachwirgung of Maccabean Martyr Theology on Ignatius’s Martyr Complex”, at the 2015 Center for Ancient Christian Studies Martyrdom in the Early Church conference.
Coleman Ford sits down with Stephen Presley, Associate Professor of Church History and Director of the Southwestern Center for the Study of Early Christianity at Southwestern Theological Seminary to discuss his new book, The Intertextual Reception of Genesis 1–3 in Irenaeus of Lyons and his time at the University of St. Andrews for doctoral studies.
